Why?

I'm always sharing my thoughts. It's only right that once in a while I present the wise words of another. This poem comes from the young poet, Mohammed Ledra. When he's not on the court tossing floaters like Tony Parker or fixing the health care industry, he writes poetry. This piece is titled "Why?", and I must admit... the kid is nice! Check it out:

Why?
Why do the victories seem less important?
TP9 or Mo Ledra?
Because we keep losing more and more,
Why do our muscles ache and bodies sore?
Because we struggle and hustle,
Why are lambs left for slaughter?
Because in the jungle there’s no room for the humble,
Why are so many innocents imprisoned?
Because justice is blind and ignorance has risen,
You see they want nothing more than for us to divide,
For they have seen how our strength increases in unity,
Why are my people itching for immunity?
Because the screeches of missiles pass by,
Missiles that shatter lives like ancient monuments,
So while you sit here and wonder why,
A few more just died…
